Most visitors to Berastagi will climb Gundaling Hill, only 30 minutes from the town center. At the top you will have a clear view of the two volcanoes, but the place is relly ruined a little with so many souvenir shops and cafes. Good to be here for sunset, if you are lucky with the weather --- we were not!

Amazing hike. A great trek it is about 1.5 hours to the top from the car parking. Terrain was manageable and not slippery. Geleng was a fantastic trekking guide for Mt Sibayak, he is knowledgable, supportive and provided an excellent experience and even brought eggs, bananas and biscuits to share on the hike.
